All the staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury would like to welcome you to our rehoming centre.
Dogs Trust Shrewsbury first opened 40 years ago and is one of the oldest of the Dogs Trust rehoming centres. It was originally known as Dogs Trust Roden and after a recent, much-needed rebuild is now a state of the art, eco-friendly centre for our residents.
Our rehoming centre is set within 30 acres of land and we also have 7 free running compounds where every dog has time to spend stretching their legs in the sand and enjoying some time just playing with their four legged pals. With 76 kennels, our centre cares for 130 dogs at any one time, all different shapes, sizes and ages and all looking for forever homes with families who will give them plenty of TLC.
Our dedicated members of staff are always on hand to help to advise you on the best dog for you, so please pop down during our opening hours. .If you have any rehoming queries or want to know more about a particular dog, please call the centre on 01952 770225.

Debo
Debo is a medium sized x breed. He is 6 years old and is a real sweetheart when he knows you. Debo can be unsure of new people but when he knows you, you will have a loyal cuddly friend for life.
Debo is great in the car and he loves nothing more than a lovely long walk, he could walk for miles and miles if you let him and he loves to explore, he especially loves his trips to the beach and he walks beautifully on the lead.
Debo is absolutely fantastic with other dogs, and loves to play. He loves his food and his toys, however he loves them so much that he wants them all to himself so he is best left to eat on his own.
To help this beautiful young boy, he would need an adult only home, and would need to be visited quite a few times before he went to his new home. And once he got there he would need time to settle in. but once he had we’re sure anyone who shared their home with him would soon wonder how they ever lived without him.
Debo is a fun, young at heart lovely boy who is as beautiful on the inside as he is on the outside but he just needs that extra special person to see what a superstar he really is.
To find out more about Debo or ask about rehoming him, please call us on 01952 770225 or drop in and visit during opening hours -no appointment necessary.

Sponsor a Dog
If you are unable to adopt a dog then why not think about sponsoring a four legged chum who will write to you throughout the year to let you know how they are doing and tell you about all the exciting things they have been getting up to. If you would like to sponsor one of Shrewsbury's sponsor dogs or see who lives at our other centre please visit www.sponsoradog.org.uk
Thank you
Many thanks to everyone who has helped keep Dogs Trust Shrewsbury going, and welcome to those of you who are new to Dogs Trust. We look forward to meeting you and helping more dogs find the forever homes they thoroughly deserve.
Also, a special huge thank you for all the very kind donations you bring to the centre. We are always very grateful for the treats and the tinned dog food we receive as well as the lovely toys for the dogs and all the beautiful cosy beds. We know the dogs can't say thank you but on their behalf we would love to say it for them. With each donation you all help towards making each dogs stay here just a little bit more enjoyable.
