Shrewsbury Centre

All the staff at Dogs Trust Shrewsbury would like to welcome you to our rehoming centre.

Dogs Trust Shrewsbury first opened 40 years ago and is one of the oldest of the Dogs Trust rehoming centres. It  was originally known as Dogs Trust Roden and after a recent, much-needed rebuild is now a state of the art, eco-friendly centre for our residents.

Our rehoming centre is set within 30 acres of land and we also have 7 free running compounds where every dog has time to spend stretching their legs in the sand and enjoying some time just playing with their four legged pals. With 76 kennels, our centre cares for 130 dogs at any one time, all different shapes, sizes and ages and all looking for forever homes with families who will give them plenty of TLC.

Our dedicated members of staff are always on hand to help to advise you on the best dog for you, so please pop down during our opening hours. .If you have any rehoming queries or want to know more about a particular dog, please call the centre on 01952 770225.

Yellow Lab X approx 3yrs old.

Grahams is looking for a special forever family who will give him the home that he deserves.
He gets on well with other dogs and really enjoys a good play with his pals – his favourite toy is a tennis ball.
Grahams already has some basic training but would benefit and love to learn more – he is always very eager to please his canine carers – especially for a nice tasty treat…

Grahams is Epileptic, therefore the ideal home for him would be a fairly quiet environment – any children would need to be 14+ with people who have previous experience of epilepsy or that will be able to cope with his medical condition.

Epilepsy can be controlled with the correct medication – the veterinary department will give the necessary advice to Grahams new family before he leaves the rehoming centre. When Grahams does go to his new home, he will be on the Dogs Trust Shared Adoption Scheme – helping towards his vets costs.
Can you offer Grahams his forever home ?

To find out more about Grahams or ask about rehoming him, please call us on 01952 770225 or drop in and visit during opening hours -no appointment necessary.
