Shoreham Centre

We're the team at Dogs Trust Shoreham. There are 52 kennels here, so the centre is quite big and our staff care for a lot of dogs every year thanks to support from people like you. Every dog deserves a loving home, and we've got quite a few looking! Drop in to find your perfect match. :)

If you have any rehoming queries or want to know more about a particular dog, please call the centre on 01273 452576.

Can you help?

We are need of some lovely volunteers to help out at the centre with jobs such as washing up and laundry, so if you have a couple of hours free each week and you live near the centre please do get in touch!

Meet Our Dogs

Here's where we put some photos and videos of a few residents trying to get your attention. If you are interested, please give us a call on 01273 452576 or drop in during opening hours!

Poppy is a 10 year old female Cocker Spaniel.

Poppy is your typical spaniel and just loves chasing after a ball and playing in the water.  For her age Poppy is still a very active dog and her favourite past time is swimming.  Our centre is next to a river and the beach, so she is a happy girl when she gets chance to get wet!

Poppy is a lovely dog and will make someone a smashing companion. She is looking for a nice quiet household where she snooze somewhere cosy after a nice muddy walk.  Owning a car would be a huge benefit, so she can be driven to quiet walking locations.

She is unhappy around children so she does need an adult only home. She would also like to be the only pet.

She also loves a tasty chew and yummy tit bit treats when out and about on walks.

Poppy has had surgery on her right ear, this has left her with a bit of a head tilt.  If you are interested in offering Poppy a new home please call us in advance of your visit so we can make sure her best friends Jemma or Amy are available to speak to you when you arrive.

Her new owners will also need to make many visits for Poppy to get to know them, as she does take a while to feel relaxed with new people.

If you are interested in finding out more about Poppy or you would like to meet her please do visit the centre (we are open from 12:00 - 16:00, only closing on a Tuesday), or call us on 01273 452 576.

Sticky Dogs

Here at Shoreham, like all Dogs Trust Rehoming Centres - we do have some dogs who are more challenging to find a home for.

Some are just over looked, and some need a more specific home environment. You can find out about some of these special canines here

Sponsor Dogs

We have two lovely Sponsor Dogs, Maddie and Sidney, if you're not quite ready for a dog of your own but want to help. We're delighted for former sponsor dog Phil, who now has a forever home!

Do you ever wonder who would care for your dog should something happen to you?

Our Supporter Relations Officers, Naomi Tucker and Nicole McCallum, can let you know about our free Canine Care Card Scheme, to make sure your four-legged friend’s future is safe.

They can also help with information about leaving a gift in your will or donating in memory of a loved one.

Naomi and Nicole are here to spread the word about the work we do at Dogs Trust.  They are very happy to come out and talk to groups or can arrange a tour and talk at the newly refurbished rehoming centre.

They also run some local fundraising events for Dogs Trust Shoreham.
