Dogs for Rehoming

Check out photos, descriptions and video for some of our lovely residents seeking homes below!

Dog of the Week: Ziva

Ziva is a stunning 8 month old husky X German Shepherd who came into Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Ilfracombe through no fault of her own, her owners had a change of personal circumstances.

Ziva is a little nervous to begin with but is very sweet once she knows you.  Being only 8 months old she is very lively and loves to play with anything, even a leaf is fun to her!

Our fabulous diva Ziva, adores her canine companions and would love a playmate in her new home.  A confident dog would help Ziva overcome her shyness and let her really enjoy life and they will need to have lots of energy to keep up with her!  We feel Ziva would be better suited to quiet home with older children due to her initial nervousness and youthful exuberance.

If you think you can give Ziva the loving, forever home she deserves, then please give our Canine Carers a call at our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre on 01271 812709, we are open every day between 12noon and 4pm except Wednesday when we are open from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.

And a quick reminder:

Our Education Officer, Stacey Prosser is here to educate the dog owners of tomorrow all about responsible dog ownership and the commitments involved in owning a dog.

She works with primary and secondary schools across Devon, delivering curriculum led workshops that do just this!

These workshops are suitable for all ages and abilities and can be tailored to meet your individual needs.

She also supports local Youth Groups and enjoys providing groups with guided tours of our Rehoming Centre.

We believe that by working with the young people throughout our region – promoting values such as responsibility, compassion and empathy – that we can help dogs to stay in their loving, forever homes.
