Dog of the Week: Sophie
Sophie is a lovely 8 year old Boxer cross who came into Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre Ilfracombe after personal circumstances meant that her owners could no longer care for her, unfortunately there was a dog allergy in the family.
Poor Sophie also has allergies so will be on our Shared Adoption Scheme meaning that Dogs Trust will help towards the cost of veterinary treatment.
Sophie is housetrained and has been out with one of our volunteer walkers and was very good. Her former best friend was a Jack Russell and she now shares with handsome Herb, our greyhound.
She can be a little bit wary of strangers at first and with this in mind we would like her to go to with a greeting visitors programme. Sophie is a very bright girl and loves her food so training can be fun and does bond well once she knows you and is very loyal.
Sophie would like a quiet home with older children and no cats as in her previous home did like to play chase with them!
If you think you can give Sophie the loving, forever home she deserves, then please give our Canine Carers a call at our Ilfracombe Rehoming Centre on 01271 812709, we are open every day between 12noon and 4pm except Wednesday when we are open from 4.30pm until 7.30pm.
