Information on Glasgow Centre

REHOMING

Our lovely centre has 66 glass fronted kennels that house hundreds of dogs every year on their journey to a new home. Like every Dogs Trust centre, we never put a healthy dog down, so we'll never stop trying to find a home for every dog, even the 'special dogs' who've been with us for six months or more. Of course we also have two lovely sponsor dogs, Arnie and Smudge, who always love to hear from new sponsors!

If you are on the lookout for a new pooch please complete a rehoming application online and come in and visit. For more information about rehoming a dog, donations, visiting the centre and volunteering, please contact our Rehoming Centre Team on 0141 773 5130 or email the Centre

Lucy is a 12 year old cross breed who is sadly suffering from a severe form of cancer, but she is still full of life and looking for a new home. Please get in touch with the centre if you could offer her a loving home.

Please note the dogs in the video below have been rehomed, the video is an example of dogs only.

EDUCATION

As well as finding forever homes for our dogs, we also have an Education Officer, Lorraine Hare, who visits schools to deliver free class workshops for the dog owners of tomorrow. We believe that by encouraging children to think about responsible dog ownership we can begin to reduce the number of stray dogs and help dogs stay in loving homes for life. You can give Lorraine a ring on 0141 773 5142 or email her to talk about booking a workshop. Check out our exciting education website www.learnwithdogs.co.uk for fun online games, free resources for teachers and much more!

FUNDRAISING

Vicky Kelly is our Supporter Relations Officer at Dogs Trust Glasgow. Vicky is the person who helps local fundraisers in their kind support of us, deals with media enquiries and tries to spread the word about Dogs Trust far and wide!
Vicky also runs the Dogs Trust Glasgow Twitter feed, where you can keep up to date with the comings and goings of the dogs at our centre. You can email Vicky or give her a ring on 0141 773 5141.

CHARITY SHOP

You can also visit our brand new charity shop in Tolcross Road! More details can be found on the charity shop page.

Now that you know all about us, we'd like to know more about you! Fill out a rehoming form online and drop in to visit us soon.

Become a friend

You can support this centre by being a friend. For a donation of £10 by direct debit each month, earmarked specifically for the Glasgow centre, you'll help them to look after the dogs in their care. The rehoming centre is the focus of all our activities - it's where the dogs who come into our care receive shelter, love, food, training, and above all, the hope for a new start with a loving family.
You'll receive a certificate to mark your friendship, and quarterly emails giving you news about the centre. And of course you'll be helping to save lots of little lives!
