Other Ways you can Help.
Come and visit our Charity Shop and 'Bag a Bargain.' Alternatively, if you have clothes or other items you need to get rid of pop them down to us. We'll sell them at the shop and all proceeds will go towards caring for our four-legged friends at Dogs Trust.
At the centre we are always on the 'Official Scrounge.' We are in constant need of tinned food, toys, treats, and anything that will enrich our dogs' stay. Please drop off any donations to the centre during our opening hours.
We hold regular fundraising events locally to promote the Canterbury rehoming centre. These range from small events on site to larger scale events that attract visitors county wide. If you are able to offer any support for these events such as sponsorship or donating raffle prizes and auction items please contact our Supporter Relations Officer, Sam. Another role of hers is to promote the charity and spread the word about what Dogs Trust does nationally and internationally. If you are a member of an Adult Group in Kent and would like a free talk about the charity please contact Sam. Her direct line is 01227 792898 or send her an e-mail.
The other option is to try the more 'hands-on' approach and volunteer with us. We are always looking for people to devote their time to helping the staff here care for our furry friends. Volunteer duties include cleaning the kennels and walking our dogs, to answering the phone or helping us with our fundraising events. If you are interested and would like to know more please contact our Volunteer Coordinator on 01227 792505 or send her an e-mail.
WE ARE CURRENTLY AT FULL CAPACITY WITH VOLUNTEERS. PLEASE CHECK BACK IN THE NEW YEAR WHEN THINGS MAY HAVE CHANGED.
