Ballymena Centre

Welcome to the Ballymena Centre

The law in Northern Ireland is changing!
As from April 2012 you must have your dog microchipped!

To assist dog owners to comply with this new requirement, Dogs Trust are offering, through local councils and vets, FREE DOG MICROCHIPPING until the end of March 2012.

A microchip is a small, electronic chip that is about the same size as a grain of rice, which is injected under your dog’s skin. The microchip is coded with a unique number that can be read by a scanner.

Should your dog stray or get lost and he is picked up and scanned by the dog warden or a vet, they can quickly find out the registered keepers' details. So your dog will be able to be returned to you quicker and easier!

Don’t miss out - GET YOUR DOG CHIPPED FOR FREE today!

You can ask your local veterinary practise* to chip your dog for free today, or download a list of local Microchipping Roadshow venues and dates. Alternatively, keep an eye on the local press for information on events in your area or simply go along to Dogs Trust Ballymena rehoming centre to have your dog chipped free of charge (please call 028 256 32820 to make an appointment).

*At participating vets only. For more information please email us or call 0845 606 3036
