The annual open day for visits and fun is packed with the usual attractions like a fun dog show, various dog displays, stalls, kids funfair, refreshments and stalls!

Dogs Trust Rehoming Centre West Calder are proud to announce the return of John Rogerson to run a weekend workshop at the centre on Saturday 27th June and Sunday 28th June 2009.

John Rogerson, founder and principal lecturer of the Northern Centre for Canine Behaviour is now widely acclaimed as the world’s leading dog trainer and behaviourist, having pioneered the majority of techniques that have now become standard practice in behaviour therapy and training.
The course will run each day from 8.45 – 4.00 prompt.
Day 1: Why people give up a dog.
Day 2: Choosing a second hand dog and building a relationship with and training your new dog.

On the A71 Edinburgh to Kilmarnock road, follow signs to West Calder town centre. Turn left just before the Vauxhall garage. Follow the road for one mile, turn right at signpost for Dogs Trust and the Centre is one mile ahead.
West Calder is 11 miles from Edinburgh.
16-03-09: Please note that the normal route to West Calder Rehoming Centre has been blocked. The Centre remains open; please follow the diversion signs to find us! The road should reopen in 3-5 days.
