From the south
Leave the M74 at junction 4, ensuring that you keep to the left and don’t turn right onto the M73. At the roundabout, turn right - to cross the bridge over the M74 - then straight over the second roundabout. At the third, turn left on to the A74, signposted to Mount Vernon (these roundabouts are all within about 200 yards of each other).
You are now on Hamilton Road.
From the north
When you get to the fork at the end of the M73 (Junction 1), take the right fork following the signs for Glasgow city centre. At the second fork, bear left towards the Crematorium until you reach the roundabout. At the roundabout, turn right - to cross the bridge over the M74 - then straight over the second roundabout. At the third, turn left on to the A74, signposted to Mount Vernon (these roundabouts are all within about 200 yards of each other). You are now on Hamilton Road
