Likes and dislikes: Chilly is very stressed in kennels and needs to find the right home ASAP. He hates it here in kennels and finds it hard to cope. He is a sensitive chap that needs his confidence built up. Chilly loves his food and this should be used for further training (especially lead work) and confidence building. Recall training is a must ASAP so that he can burn off his energy that he has. Chilly likes to play fetch and this will help with recall training. Chilly gets on well with other dogs, but is not overly fussed by them. He is looking for a home where he can be the only dog in the household as he doesn't like to share his toys! Chilly can be a bit wary of new people and handling so new owners must build a bond first. Chilly dislikes the vets and will have to be muzzled - i don't blame him! Once he knows you he loves to have a fuss! Due to this new owners must be prepared to make several visits before he goes home.
Type of home needed: Chilly is looking for someone that has had springers before, and know that they can be sensitive at times. Also they will know how active they are and how much exercise they need. Chilly is looking for a home that can offer him a routine and where he can feel safe and secure. Minimal leaving hours are suggested as this will let him settle in.
