- Dogs Trust Shoreham seeks new home for Iggy and Ellen -
Iggy and Ellen (pictured) are five-year old Jack Russell Terriers believed to be brother and sister. This lovely pair came into Dogs Trust Shoreham at the beginning of April. It is thought that they have been together most of their lives and as a result are clearly very close. Staff at the Rehoming Centre are therefore desperate to keep the pair together.
Iggy is clearly the more confident of the two. Ellen, however, is not and she very much relies on her big older brother to help her cope with new situations and strangers. Unfortunately, Ellen has even started self-harming, which is why staff at the centre are desperate to find the pair a new home as soon as possible.
Centre Manager Tracey Rae explains: “These dogs are like two peas in a pod. They are looking for a calm home where children must be over the age of 14 years - ideally a gentle owner who’d help Ellen come out of her shell. Both dogs love meeting and socialising with other dogs almost as much as their cuddles and treats. They’d make a wonderful new addition to any family, so we’d like to urge anyone who may be interested to come forward and pay us a visit”.
