Gypsy the Staffordshire Bull Terrier seeks a new home as her puppies leave the litter.
The Mothers’ day card has already been bought, and centre staff at Dogs Trust Roden are planning to surprise her with a delicious dinner of cooked chicken. Yet staff at Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity are hoping that a kind member of the public will give Gypsy the best Mothers’ Day present a pooch could hope for, a new home.
Gypsy, a two year old Staffordshire Bull Terrier was brought into charity’s Roden centre by a member of the travelling community. Staff at the centre were told that she had been mated by another Staffie and was due to give birth in three weeks time. She gave birth to a litter of six puppies, but unfortunately only three of them survived. Two of the pups have already been rehomed, so Gypsy will be celebrating Mothers Day with her final pup at the centre at Roden. The last pup in the litter, a boy, is also hoping to find a new home.
Supporter Relations Officer, Louise Campbell comments:
"Gypsy is a real sweetie, and a fantastic mum. We are really hoping that she will she will find a new home soon, especially now that her babies are ready to fly the nest. She is so lovely with everybody that she meets."
