COUNTRYSIDE HOMES URGENTLY NEEDED FOR ‘THE FAMOUS FIVE’

Dogs Trust Shoreham seeks rural homes for their very own Famous Five -

Dogs Trust, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, is appealing for rural homes for a number of dogs currently housed at Dogs Trust Shoreham. Staff at the Rehoming Centre have affectionately nicknamed them ‘The Famous Five’.

This motley crew also go by the name of Kay, Ashes, Josh, William and Maria and are unfortunately finding their time in kennels very stressful indeed. Dogs Trust are therefore looking for some very understanding new owners who have the patience and dedication to get to know these dogs on a one-on-one basis.

These dogs are exceptionally friendly and loyal and urgently need rural homes. Regrettably, they cannot cope with walks on a lead.  A home with a large plot of secure land or fenced garden would be ideal for exercise and play.

Vicky Grylls, Assistant Manager of Dogs Trust Shoreham, explains: “These dogs were nicknamed ‘The Famous Five’ because they are super dogs, each displaying a unique characteristic. Since their arrival these dogs have amazed our trainers and have huge potential to develop even further.  We desperately need new dog loving owners to come forward.”

Kay (pictured) is a five year old male Pointer cross. He is an inquisitive chappie who likes to be involved in anything and everything that goes on. He would make a great little family helper especially in the garden.  He is looking for an adult-only home.

Ashes (pictured) is a six year old male Collie cross.  He is looking for a calm home with adults only, he could also live with a calm dog.  He has a cheeky character and loves to play with his toys. Alternatively, he would happily spend his days basking in the sunshine.

Josh (pictured) is a seven year old male German Shepherd cross.  He is a very special boy who loves nothing more than taking time out and cuddling up to you.  He is looking for an adult-only home with no small animals but could happily live with another suitable dog.  He is also a playful chappie who loves a good game of hide and seek.

William (pictured) is a three year old male cross breed. He is an exceptionally clever boy and picks up new tricks quickly.  He also likes to be challenged and loves to show off his new tricks.  He is looking for an adult-only home without any cats but would love the company of another dog.

Maria (pictured) is a four year old German Shepherd cross.  She is looking for an adult-only home with no visiting children, pets or livestock.  She would be happy however to live with another suitable dog.  Maria is a very loyal and loving dog and once bonded would make a wonderful life-long companion.
