DOGS TRUST PRODUCTS SECURE LISTING IN WAITROSE
22 August 2012
After launching an exclusive dog grooming range last summer, the UK’s largest dog welfare charity, Dogs Trust, is now announcing the news that three of the range will be sold exclusively through 205 Waitrose stores across the country. From the beginning of August 2012, the Anti-Odour Shampoo, Condition & Detangle Conditioner and Quick Fix Dry Shampoo will go on shelf in the well-known retailer.
Made using only naturally derived ingredients, the products are free from SLS and parabens. With many people mistakenly using their own products on their pets, the grooming range from Dogs Trust focuses on the pH range from 6.5 to 7.5 which perfectly complements a dog’s skin. In addition all of the ingredients are approved by the Coalition for Consumer Information on Cosmetics (CCIC) – the Leaping Bunny Program.
Says Adrian Burder, Dogs Trust Marketing Director:
“We’re delighted to have secured a listing in such a well respected store as Waitrose. Many people lavish lots of time and attention on their pets so Dogs Trust wanted to create a range of grooming products designed exclusively for dogs which use mild ingredients, no parabens, chemicals or SLS. With all the products meeting the Leaping Bunny guidelines, we have a conscience free range that is kinder to the delicate skin of dogs of all shapes and sizes and helps us raise vital funds for rescue dogs.”
Waitrose Spokesperson said:
“We are proud to support Dogs Trust by stocking their new grooming range. Britain is often described as a nation of animal lovers so we are pleased to offer our shoppers this high quality range to pamper their pooches."
The products will be priced at between £5.99 and £6.99 and will be available in 205 stores nationwide. A third of all profits going to continue the work of the Charity which cares for and rehomes 16,000 each year through its network of 18 rehoming centres in the UK and one in Dublin.
