Each centre employs a number of staff to deal with a variety of duties ranging from day-to-day management to ensuring the wellbeing of the dogs in our care. Lets with Pets Development and Relationship Co-ordinator

  • Dogs Trust is offering an exciting opportunity for someone with a background in the residential lettings sector to use their skills and experience to help shape and promote their unique Lets with Pets campaign.  Lets with Pets was set up in 2009 to help pet owners find privately rented accommodation by encouraging landlords and letting agencies to take a ‘Pets Considered’ approach.
  • In order to drive this campaign forward, we are now seeking a motivated self starter who has the experience to raise awareness of our work through campaign/project initiatives.  In order to succeed in this new role you must have a thorough understanding of the issues involved and the ability to encourage and influence the property industry to tap into the pet owner market.
  • Communication and relationship building skills are key to this role and you will have experience of developing beneficial partnerships at a senior level.   You should also have a background in setting up or promoting projects/initiatives along with experience of the marketing process.  You will be confident in dealing with and presenting to various stakeholder groups at all levels and you will have the skills and confidence to communicate sometimes challenging messages.
  • A driving licence and the ability to travel extensively across the UK (with some overnight stays) are required for this role.

Rehoming Centres

 

Dogs Trust Ilfracombe - Education Officer

  • Full time, 35 hours per week
  • Starting in July 2012
  • To deliver Dogs Trust presentations and activities within selected schools across a number of LEA’s in Ilfracombe and surrounding areas. The schools chosen will be identified using local knowledge and by reference to our Stray Dog Survey. Classroom activities will use the theme of dog ownership as a platform for developing self-esteem, confidence, responsibility, communication and teamwork skills.
