Training and Behaviour Advisor - Dogs Trust Snetterton

  • 40 hours per week, Permanent
  • Responsible to the Rehoming Centre Manager or, in his or her absence, to the duty RC Assistant Managers, for assessing pre-intake and newly arrived dogs, designing and implementing dog training and behaviour modification programmes for these and other dogs in our care.  Also responsible for training Canine Carers to implement behavioural training programmes and for advising members of the public in the handling and training of dogs adopted from Dogs Trust.

Canine Carer - Dogs Trust Harefield

  • 40 hours per week, Permanent
  • Working to Dogs Trust’s codes of practice and Health and Safety guidelines, to provide daily care for the dogs in the Rehoming Centre and to establish good customer relations with potential new owners and the general public.

  • Responsible primarily for assisting in the Tea Rooms and Shop, ensuring that it operates within Dogs Trust’s codes of practice, Environmental Health and Health and Safety guidelines.

  • As instructed by the centre manager to work under the direction of the centre veterinary surgeon and Dogs Trust Veterinary Director/Deputy Veterinary Director. To assist in the examination and treatment of dogs.  To maintain clinical protocols and standards.  To ensure high standards of animal welfare, hygiene/biosecurity and nursing care are maintained.
