From Margaret Nawrockyi , secretary of Dog Theft Action.
Our event in the Colonel Rosy Hall was very successful. This venue is stunning! Staff members were welcoming and very hospitable. The conference coordinator made the day run like clockwork - nothing was too much trouble. She was welcoming and diligent - full of good ideas and suggestions.
The catering was excellent - a superb buffet beautifully presented and far more sophisticated that the usual conference food.
The feedback I have received from delegates has been extremely complementary. Thank you Dogs Trust for this outstanding venue.

"The only obstacles to me in the wheelchair are all man made" said Allen Parton a Royal Naval Gulf war veteran, partnered with the arguably the most famous assistance dog in the world Endal. "So you can just imagine how delighted I was when I recently visited the newly renovated Barn at Dogs Trust Harefield to find it totally barrier free. All areas are fully accessible all the facilities meet and surpass current DDA regulations. The entrance ....via a very gently sloping ramp which winds it way through the raised flower beds, able to accommodate the largest of wheelchairs and once inside we were greeted by step free rooms within the whole building which really does provide real access to all areas of the building. The accessible toilets again provide ample space and comfort for wheelchair users and meet current regulations.
Having spent quite a long day in conference at the barn I cannot recall any reason that the environment caused me any reason to have anything other than a wonderful day without stress or strains poorly designed or older buildings can cause.

Last year I was given the opportunity of organising the Annual Congress on behalf of the Greyhound Veterinarians which was held at the Colonel Rosy Hall. The event was a great success and all the delegates were very impressed with the newly restored 17th Century Barn. The facilities on site are very extensive; the conference hall is comfortable, light and spacious offering ample seating. Audio visual facilities are available and office/administration back up is on hand if required.
My main contact at the hall was Jennifer Rose who was very attentive and extremely professional in her approach of organising the event for us. Her attention to detail was very impressive and nothing was too much trouble. She dealt with all our requests very swiftly and efficiently.
The catering was of a very high standard and many delegates commented on the choice and quality of the food on offer.
If you are looking for a first class venue for a conference I would have no hesitation in recommending the Colonel Rosy Hall which offers a complete package: up-to-date facilities in stunning surroundings with efficient, professional staff that really make a difference.
