Utility breeds

The Utility breeds are those bred for specific purposes that do not really fit into any of the other groups. This means that it is impossible to generalise about them as a group. Some were bred to be companion dogs, others were used for guarding, fighting or for hunting, or even for following behind horse-drawn carriages and fire engines.
