Changing your Will

You will not have to pay for your Will to be completely rewritten.

Wording in your Will

If you would like to leave Dogs Trust a gift in your Will the following wording will be helpful when you visit your legal advisor:

"I give all (or a % share of) the residue of my estate to Dogs Trust (Registered Charity No. 227523), 17 Wakley Street, London, EC1V 7RQ, for its general charitable purposes and I direct that the receipt of the Treasurer or duly authorised officer shall be a valid and appropriate form of discharge."

Suggested wording for codicil to Dogs Trust:

"This is a codicil of me (name) of (address) to my Will dated (date). I give (details of bequest) to Dogs Trust (Registered Charity No. 227523), 17 Wakley Street, London, EC1V 7RQ, for its general charitable purposes and I direct that the Treasurer or duly authorised officer shall be valid and appropriate form of discharge.  In all other respects I confirm my Will dated (date of original Will).

In kind recognition of your commitment to caring for dogs we will enrol you as a Faithful Friend and send you a small token of our appreciation a distinctive set of notelets especially designed to show your love of dogs.  In addition, no legacy to Dogs Trust will ever be forgotten. When the time comes, your name will be recorded on a special plaque.
