Why become a friend?

For Dogs Trust to help thousands of dogs each year it is vital that our network of 17 rehoming centres throughout the UK have adequate funds to continue their operations.

Our policy is to not just rescue dogs, but to give them the best possible quality of life as well as all the specialist care and training they need to give them the greatest chance of finding a new home of their own.

Often it is the simplest things that cause little tails to wag. A squeaky toy, a treat or a cosy bed can be all it takes to raise spirits. But other dogs need a bit more, including expensive veterinary treatment or months of rehabilitation.

If you have an affinity with a particular centre, perhaps because you live nearby, or maybe because you rehomed a dog from there yourself, becoming a Friend of the Centre is a great way to show your support. This means your donation of £10 per month will be allocated to the centre of your choice, and enable you to make a direct impact on the lives of the dogs there.

If you'd like to become a friend of a Dogs Trust rehoming centre, please click here to sign up. Your support will be greatly appreciated and you'll receive a certificate to acknowledge your kindness. As well as that, you’ll receive a special email four times a year to keep you informed about the centre and its activities. You’ll also receive invitations to the centre’s Open Days and events.
