Many people think it’s fine to use shampoos for humans, but dogs have different pH levels in their skin and their needs are very different from ours. They don’t need or like strong smelling products that may simply mask an odour or products with foaming agents that produce a lot of froth - and not a lot else. You won’t find any sulphates or parabens in any of the products.
The Dogs Trust range is produced by Italian producers Originitalia. The company is certified under the international Humane Standards, which are managed by the BUAV in the UK. Certified cruelty-free companies are recognisable to shoppers by the Leaping Bunny trademark. Many people do not realise that the products they use on themselves and their animals can still have been cruelly tested on animals.
The range covers everything from dry shampoo when you need that quick fix and can’t use water to an anti-odour spritz for those moments when they’ve rolled in that “special something”.
And best of all, a minimum of one third of the profits from these products will go straight to Dogs Trust, helping to care for thousands of dogs every year.
