Freedom Project: Are there links between animal abuse, child abuse and domestic violence?

Dogs Trust is a member of The Links Group, a multi-agency coalition set up in 2001 to promote the links between child abuse, animal abuse and domestic violence. Other members include BVNA, NSPCC, Refuge, PDSA and RSPCA.

The group has produced a leaflet for professionals working with children, families or animals which you can download below.

Dogs Trust Freedom Project is part of the Links sub-group on pet fostering, along with six other fostering services for families fleeing domestic violence across the UK. The sub-group was set up to support vulnerable adults, children and animals and to raise awareness of the protection and welfare of children and animals in a violent domestic situation.
