Freedom Project: Helping families with pets flee domestic violence

The Freedom Project is a free foster care service for dogs belonging to families fleeing from domestic violence. The service operates in Greater London, Hertfordshire and Yorkshire.

In several recent studies of women seeking refuge from domestic violence, nearly half reported that their pets had been threatened, injured or killed by their partners.

If you are fleeing domestic violence and have not already obtained advice, please call the 24 hour National Domestic Violence Helpline on 0808 2000 247.
